Do I have 1-2 years of experience with demonstrated competence?

I'm applying for a job at books-a-million, and on the application it asks "do you have 1-2 years of experience with demonstrated competence?" Now, I've never had a job before, so, what would I need to have "demonstrated competence"? Please help ):
