In scientific articles researchers don't always mention checking all the assumptions of data for certain statistical test, such as an ANOVA, MANOVA, Multiple Regression, etc. By assumptions I mean multicollinearity, normality, homoscedasticity, etc. Is this due mainly to lack of space in the journal, lack of competence in the researcher, or is it just because people assume that these assumptions are checked and they don't feel the need to mention them?
