Cupcake ideas!!! Can you PLEASE HELP!!!?

I LOVE to bake and when I use a recipe in a book or online I don't feel like I am a good baker. It's just that I follow someones recipe THEY make and it will never be my own. In the show DC cupcakes they can make recipe almost on the spot. It is really creative like thin mint, peanut butter chocolate pretzel, things in that nature. I want to MAKE my own recipe and I have no clue how. I don't know how many eggs, flower, and sugar to use. I would also like to make random flavors like lemon (with lemonade packets to drink), cinnamon, marshmallow, and so on. Please help me... But DON'T give me an actual recipe... just maybe some guide lines. Thank you so much :)
